Tyler Buzbee – MTS Athlete of the Year

Tyler Buzbee - MTS Athlete of the Year

After a very determined campaign and many mind-altering, careful comments and suggestions, we have come to the conclusion that the first Athlete of the Month in 2022 should possibly be Dr. Tyler Buzbee. With that, Tyler is asked to refrain from campaigning for any similar awards, recognitions, or acknowledgements that MTS may or may not give. Dr. Tyler practices at Buzbee Dental with his dad Gary, brother Todd, and all three being controlled and held together by Danielle, his sister in law.

All kidding aside, Tyler and his lover Amy have been training with us for a year now and have fit right in with the 6:00 am crew. You might know him as “the guy with style,” or his color-coordinated workout outfits (hint: the arm sleeve). He and Amy come in everyday with a positive outlook and focused on getting better. He is a man built like Adonis with the mind of Larry David. Amy has really out-kicked her coverage on this one. Congratulations on this distinguished acknowledgement and continue the good work!

Tyler “AotY” Buzbee

Occupation:
1:Dentist 2:Athlete of the Year (It is the first one of THIS year ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).

What did you do before joining MTS in regards to working out?
I worked out at home in my garage. By myself. 🙁

How long have you been with MTS?
A Year

What’s your favorite workout/exercise at MTS?
Active recovery is always nice. I get so tired from giving it my all and leaving it all on the gym floor that I look forward to not going so hard ALL THE TIME. 107% is how I live my life inside and outside the gym.

What’s you least favorite workout/exercise at MTS?
Skater hops always get my lateral booty fired up.

How is MTS different from other methods of training you may have tried in the past?
There is a real spirit of community at the time MY LOVER, Amy, and I work out in the morning. You can really tell that everyone wants to be there. The variety of movements and exercises within each workout is always varied enough to keep things “fresh” while still achieving the best result(s).

How has MTS helped you attain your fitness goals or athletic endeavors?
I was struggling with motivation and consistency prior to coming to MTS so that has been a big plus. Obviously, the workouts are not that hard, but I guess I’ve sacrificed muscle gains, strength, and working out naked in my garage for the motivation and consistency MTS provides me.

What’s your favorite cheat meal/snack?
Any type of Albanese brand gummy

Advice to those just starting out?
I would start off with only working with Caden to get a good base of knowledge and to learn the “hows and whys” of all the exercises. After that, Paul or Andy is fine. When in doubt, just refer back to what you actually learned from Caden. Paul and Andy really “out-kicked” their coverage by somehow getting Caden to help them out.
